We are currently translating more then 90,000 Occupations into 19 different languages and you can help.

What is it?

IMDb Wikia is thought as being a wiki that can stand side by side with IMDb by bringing features that IMDb doesn't have. This includes, but is not limited to, Occupation translations and keyword definitions.

What is it not?

Read carefully: this is NOT an internet movie database. I can not stress this enough. This is a wiki for IMDb users and contributors, nothing more. If you are looking to add info to IMDb, go to www.imdb.com. If you are looking for information on an actor or movie, go to www.imdb.com. If you write anything here that breaks this rule, it will be deleted without IMDb ever knowing and will be lost forever.

You should not take the translations to directly. These are the words seen on screen, and when they are taken out of context they sometimes lose the right meaning. If you want to learn how to use these words correctly in another language, see Wikitorya.

How can I contribute?

If you know of a keyword IMDb that is not listed here and you would like to add it, then simply write the name of the keyword in the search box below and hit create. There you will be taken trough a few easy steps.

Translation form

If you have a translation that is not listed here, you can write down the non English word in the input box below and hit create where you will be taken trough 4 easy steps. Don't be afraid to submit many different ways of writing the word, along with common miss spellings.

Occupation from

If you know of an Occupation on IMDb that is not listed here and you would like to add it, then simply write the name of the occupation in the search box below and hit create. You have to find out wich Department IMDb lists the occupation and then replace DEPARTMENT (2x) with it. If it is not listed on IMDb, you should not make a new page for it. Instead you can create a redirect page to a similar English occupation title using the Translation form below.

If you are fluent in English and would like to add credits from a non English movie where you don't understand the credit's language. Or if you just have a minimum of English knowledge and would like to contribute credits for a movie from your own country. It works both ways.
